(P1 - Red P's) NSW Provisional Licence

You need to know:

Provisional Licence (P1 - Red P's): Minimum age: 17 years Minimum
Tenure: 12 months, continuous Licence valid for: 18 months Conditions:

  • ZERO BAC

  • 90 km/h maximum speed allowable

  • P plates to be displayed (red P) on the outside.

  • Restricted towing.

  • 4 demerit points for 18 months

  • Auto restriction (where applicable)

  • Must not supervise a learner.

  • No upgrade to a higher licence.
